An original Humber torpedo keyring which will have been produced in the late 1950s .

We have just this one keyring to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

What a superb item and over 60 years old !

It looks as though it was freshly made just yesterday !

We have just this one example of this original vintage torpedo keyring to offer.

This keyring is in new old stock condition and will never have been used .

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a torpedo keyfob in genuine black goatskin leather .

Goatskin was used by CUD for a lot of their torpedo keyrings and was termed ‘Morocco leather ‘ .

Originally supplied with a new Humber from the dealership gold embossed onto the back of the keyfob .

Look at that telephone no :- Leicester 23421……………

You can almost imagine the telephonist asking “Which number please ?” as you read it …………….then the famous ” Hold the line please whilst I connect you ! ”

Rather different to ” Your call is important to us and we are experiencing a high number of calls – you are number 18 in the queue !”

The keyring was made by Castles Unit Developments of Castle Gate in Leicester UK- their famous CUD logo is on the back of the badge.

Castles were the original & only manufacturers of torpedo shaped keyrings ( so prized by collectors today )

Their product very quickly went out of fashion in the late 1960s when keyrings as we know them today were introduced. Castles seem to have disappeared very quickly at about that time.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
