Leyland Mini Clubman key case - original new old stock 1970s key wallet

The ultimate keyring related item for 1969 -1975 Mini Clubman !

This is an original new old stock key wallet which was still in it’s original packaging ( we had to open the packaging in order to photograph the key wallet )

The opened packaging ( now damaged ) will be provided with the key case.

The key wallet itself is in brand new condition ( obviously !) and was made at the time by the well known Melsom Products Co. of Birmingham – their name appears on the packaging and also on the back of the badge.

One of our customers is an authority on Minis and has been in contact to tell us that strictly speaking the Mini Clubman badge had a longer blue shield and that this badge was also used for Mini Mark 3 and Clubman in the 1970s.

He goes on to say that in the Austin and Morris era, there were various models of minis produced, such as Cooper, Cooper S and etc… but they are mostly put together in the BMLC era. He thinks that the badge will be correct for all the Minis produced in 70s BLMC era. The badge was mounted on the Clubman but other minis produced at that time also had it.

All very confusing to us – thank goodness we have customers who know a lot more about the cars than we do !
