Sorry - these keyrings have now all been sold and can no longer be ordered
We have just two of these rather special keyrings to offer ( the badges are rare and we only have two badges ) 49/95
Both keyrings have an original Melsom Products vitreous enamel badge dating from the late 1960s inlaid into one of our slimline teardrop hand stitched keyfobs as can be seen in the photos. The leather fob is in full grain black hide.
This has produced a slightly smaller keyring than our usual full sized teardrop or classic rectangular keyfob shapes - which many customers prefer.
These black vitreous enamel on chrome badges were made by Melsom Products of Birmingham UK in the late 1960s. Some badges which they made would have had a metal loop on the top of the badge to allow the badge to be mounted onto a keyfob by means of a leather hinge.
Others ( like these) were manufactured without the loop and would have been intended for inlaying into the top of a gear lever knob.
We have adapted these badges to inlay into our keyfobs by means of soldering an oversized brass plate to the base of each badge and then laminating the baseplate within the keyfob. No chance of the badge ever falling out !
When both keyrings have been sold this listing will cancel.
