Alfa Romeo-Milano- original 1960s vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Alfa Romeo keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring has an original vitreous enamel Alfa Romeo ‘Milano’ keyfob badge which will have been produced in the late 1960s.

In 1972 Alfa Romeo dropped ‘Milano’ from their badge – so we know that this badge is pre-1972.

We have had a few of these badges over the years ( the last one was remounted and listed and sold in October 2021 )

The jewellery quality vitreous enamelling on this badge is in excellent condition .

The wreath around the enamelled central portion of the badge is in nickel plating

There is one tiny area on the wreath at 2 o’clock on the face of the badge having lost nickel plating from a high area of the design which can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos but is hardly noticeable when viewed at lifesize unless you are looking for it .

The nickel plating over the enamelled central area of the badge has disappeared leaving an attractive contrasting gilt plated appearance ( unless this is how the badge was originally produced although that is unlikely )

No maker’s name on the back of the badge ( simply ‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ which is quite usual for the 1960s – the badge was probably made in Birmingham .

In the 1960s almost all car keyrings and keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in black saddlery hide .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive SMOSO  00/56    08/24
