Home / Online Shop / Alfa Romeo – original 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob
1 in stock
The rare badge mounted onto this keyring is an original keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s.
We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos.
The badge is in excellent condition for it’s age – the vitreous enamelling is all intact with no chips or cracks .
There is some slight surface flecking in the white enamel which will have been there since the badge was made – white vitreous enamel was very prone to flaws and in the 1960s the enamel was actually individually hand laid .
This can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos.
The gilt plating has mellowed to give a soft glow as gilt plating always does to give a lovely impression of the age of the badge – the appearance of these original gilt plated badges just cannot not be replicated .
The badge was made in England ( probably Birmingham ) – at that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.
This badge is original & correct for use with any pre-1972 Alfa Romeo motor car or could be used as a ‘retro’ keyring in a much later car .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason or cancel your order – a full refund will be given
