Just one keyring left.
We did have 3 of these original new old stock Alfa Romeo keyfob badges which date from the 1960s which we are offering remounted onto new keyfobs in genuine red pigskin leather as can be seen in the photos.
Now just one keyring is left.
The badges are in mint condition and came from the leather works of Heath & Machin in Walsall, England.
Heath & Machin produced their own badges ( these are some of those ) for their own keyrings and also mounted badges onto leather keyfobs for other manufacturers – most notably Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham.
Heath & Machin changed hands in the early 1970s and continued making small leather goods up until the 1990s.
These badges are so special that we are offering them remounted onto genuine pigskin keyfobs in red pigskin .
Pigskin leather was ( and is ! ) a luxurious leather which was occasionally used for keyfobs in the 1960s – usually for prestige cars.
It was always expensive and was prized for it’s appearance and hard wearing durability which was ideal for keyfobs which receive a lot of handling .
Pigskin leather seems to be a thing of the past and no longer available in the grade needed for making keyfobs – the material which we use was sourced from a closed Midlands factory which had been using it for covering hip flasks and making wallets – and keyfobs- quite some time ago.
These are superb keyrings with a 1960s period correct vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a period correct slimline teardrop keyfob shape .
We have become very well known over the years for remounting original badges like these onto new leather keyfobs of the correct pattern.
These badges are original & correct for use with any pre -1972 Alfa Romeo motor car but the keyrings could also be used as ‘retro’ keyrings in a much later car.
Sadly when all 3 keyrings have been sold then this listing will be cancelled
