NOW Sold – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
Those ‘in the know’ will appreciate the historical importance of this ultra-rare Alfa Romeo keyring.
An original Alfa Romeo torpedo CUD keyring is a rarity – particularly in this condition – but for it to have been supplied by Rudds of Worthing is the final cherry on the cake !
This is the only example which we have ever seen over the last 10 years.
Ken Rudd ( who sadly died in 2010 ) established Rudds of Worthing soon after the war and then formed Ruddspeed Ltd in the late 1950s to undertake tuning conversions on Aston Martins, Austin Healeys, Volvos and Alfa Romeos.
This keyring will have been supplied with a Ruddspeed converted Alfa Romeo in the early 1960s.
The keyring is in the sort of condition that we like to find a vintage keyring in – showing the signs of careful use with a light patina which cannot be replicated artificially .
The vitreous enamel badge is in superb condition and is mounted onto the genuine leather torpedo keyfob which is gold embossed with Rudd’s details on the reverse.
The keyring was made by the most famous maker of the time – Castles Unit Developments of Leicester – their well known CUD mark is on the back of the badge.
An important historical Alfa Romeo item – try to find another !
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 00/541 01/20
