An original Alfa Romeo keyring which will have been produced in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
We have only ever seen 4 of these Alfa Romeo Melsom Products keyrings.
We know that it will date from before 1972 as the Alfa Romeo badge changed then to omit the word ‘Milano’ and simply state ‘Alfa Romeo’.
The vitreous enamel badges is mounted onto a genuine black leather keyfob and the badge has Melsom Products Ltd details cast into the back of the badge.
Whilst the keyring looks to be in new condition, some of the nickel plating on the badge is not complete.
This can be plainly seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos but is not actually particularly noticeable when viewed life size with the naked eye.
The listing price does take this into account- not all vintage keyrings which we list are in mint condition.
Melsom Products were the 2nd most prolific manufacturer of keyrings in England after CUD ( Castles ) at that time when almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.
This keyring is original & date correct for use with any pre-1972 Alfa Romeo motor car.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold then this listing will be cancelled.
