American Motors – original vintage late 1970s/ 1980s ? keyring

We would think that this is an original American Motors keyring which will have been produced in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This keyring is in very good condition with very little sign of having been used.

The vitreous enamel badge is in pristine condition and is mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

The construction of the keyring is classic late 1970s/1980s with an aluminium rivet retaining the badge onto the keyfob .

We would think that this keyring will date from the late 1970s or 1980s but this method of construction did carry on after that period – so we could be wrong.

Having said that – the badge is in genuine vitreous enamel which has not been in general use now for some time and the keyring does show signs of having been used .

The badge has ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ cast into the reverse – almost all keyrings & keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England in the 1970s/1980s – it was quite an industry.

Almost all automotive keyrings are now made in the Far East.

We always err on the side of caution if there is any doubt.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
