Aston Martin – original 1980s/ 1990s Manhattan Windsor green border badge remounted onto a new keyfob in tan oak bark tanned leather

An original Aston Martin keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1980s or 1990s which we have remounted onto a new keyfob in tan oak bark tanned leather as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This nickel plated vitreous enamel  badge is in excellent condition with a border of green vitreous enamel and we have remounted it onto a new leather keyfob in tan coloured oak bark tanned leather .

The badge was produced by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham who made the Aston Martin keyrings at that time .

With the badge flipped up from the keyfob ‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ can just be seen marked onto the reverse of the badge .

The top and bottom cut-outs in the badge were milled from a solid badge which would originally have had ‘ MANHATTAN WINDSOR – MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ marked on the reverse.

All that remains is ‘ MADE IN ENGLAND ‘ .

This milling took place prior to the badge being nickel plated and vitreous enamel then being applied.

Many Mercedes Benz keyfob badges with similar cut-outs were produced just the same in the 1980s – the badges were cast from a die and this milling process saved the manufacturer the expense of having a separate die produced for badge with cut-outs !
