2 in stock
These 2 keyrings are original items dating from the 1980s.
We have just 2 of these original new old stock Audi keyrings to offer which are in brand new condition.
Unusually they have vitreous enamel badges mounted on them – which was rare for an Audi keyring.
These are original keyrings which will have been made in Birmingham at the time – before automotive keyrings were made in The Far East.
In the 1980s almost all car keyrings for the world’s cars were still made in England – it was quite an industry.
The badges are in nickel plate with blue and gold vitreous enamel detail .
Had these badges been made later in The Far East then the enamelling would have been in modern resin ( plastic ) based enamel.
The badges are mounted onto black keyfobs which have the genuine leather symbol plainly gold-embossed …………………..but the keyfobs are not genuine leather.
They are in good quality textured faux leather. Trades descriptions legislation in the 1980s did not pick up on this and we commonly see similarly marked 1970s & 1980s keyrings.
Having said that these faux leather keyfobs often actually lasted better than the ones made from the genuine leather being used at the time for keyring production.
These keyrings are rare examples of what was actually being used in Audi cars back in the 1980s. They are original & correct for use in any 1980s Audi motor car.
When both keyrings have been sold this listing will be cancelled.
