Audi - original vintage late 1960s/ early 1970s keyring by Heath Machin of Walsall - collector's item

An original Audi keyring which will have been produced in the late 1960s or early 1970s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

The nickel plating at the base of the letter ‘d’ of ‘Audi’ has peeled away – this can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

This is the only complete original Heath Machin Audi keyring still with it’s original leather keyfob which we have ever listed although we have seen similar keyrings for other prestige marques like Mercedes Benz & Jaguar .

The keyring is in excellent condition ( apart from the defect described above ) with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan leather with contrasting natural coloured stitching.

Made by Heath Machin of Walsall in England who were producers of small leather goods and keyrings and carried out leatherwork for other keyring manufacturers at the time.

In the 1960s & 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry .
