Austin Healey Club - original vintage 1970s? keyring

An original Austin Healey Club keyring which will probably have been produced in the 1970s.

In the past we have listed a couple of slightly earlier examples of this keyring which had gilt plated badges- both of those have now been sold – and just one example like this one with a nickel plated badge .

We have also listed a couple of original badges which we had re-mounted onto our own leather keyfobs ( both now sold )- but this example in this listing is complete with it’s original keyfob.

The keyring is in really excellent condition and can hardly have been used.

The nickel plated vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

The badge mounting method – using an aluminium rivet – is patented and the patent no. is stamped into the keyfob beneath the badge ( a deliberately underexposed photo of this shows this off to good effect )

The keyring was made by the well respected firm of W.Reeves & Co. Ltd of Tenby Street, Birmingham – probably in the early 1970s.

Reeves are a firm whose name we very rarely see on the back of keyfob badges ( almost always when we do see their name it is on the reverse of an Austin Healey keyfob badge )
