We have a couple of original examples of this Austin Healey early wings design keyfob badge and both are still on their original keyfobs mounted on tan pigskin.
The first one was kindly given to us by our lifelong friend – the late Roger Kemplay ( see full story in the other listing here for Austin Healey early design ) whilst the second one came from a customer who brought it to our exhibition stand at Beaulieu in 2010 – see this one on the ‘Examples of original keyrings’ page in the GALLERY on this website.
In order that we have been able to replicate these two original examples faithfully :- the enamel badge was made by the same London firm who produced the originals over 50 years ago- Premier badges of London ( now Ingatestone )
The badge is then mounted onto a genuine pigskin keyfob.
The badge has been made in ‘old school’ vitreous enamel – just like the original .
This badge would be correct for use with Austin Healey 100, 100/6 and also early Austin Healey 3000 Mk I .
We do not think you are likely to find anything nearer the original keyring to use with your 100/4 100M, 100S or BN2 !
We are proud to report that Mr. Jon Scott- Nelson of Scarborough ( Murray Scott-Nelson Austin Healey ) used one of these keyrings in his own 100S when competing recently in the Mille Miglia.
This listing is for the early wings badge mounted onto a tan genuine pigskin keyfob in classic rectangular or slimline teardrop keyfob shape.
There is a separate listing for the badge mounted onto a keyfob in black pigskin.
