Austin Healey - original 1960s Warwick shield badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

An original Austin Healey Warwick shield keyfob badge which will have been produced in the early 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This ‘Warwick shield’ badge design was originally produced in the late 1950s and the first keyfob badges were produced by Reeves badgemakers of Birmingham  – we have listed just three keyrings with these original Reeves ‘Warwick shield ‘ badges over the years .

We have also listed and sold just one original remounted badge not marked ‘Reeves’ recently ( with slight chips around the edge of the enamel )

On the very same day on which that keyring sold the ‘phone rang and we were offered the badge in this listing – only the 2nd non-Reeves badge which we have ever listed .

This rare vitreous enamel keyfob badge is in superb condition – the badge is in virtually mint condition – quite remarkable for an almost 60 year old badge with such intricate enamelling !

This particular badge is not marked with the maker’s name and we would not think that it will have been produced by Reeves .

This badge will be original & correct for use with any late 1950s or 1960s Austin Healey – 100/6 or 3000 .

We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in full grain black leather .

Replicas of this badge have been produced over the years and recent replicas do sometimes appear on internet auction sites – now in modern resin based enamel rather than ‘old school ‘ vitreous enamel .
