Austin Healey – original vintage 1970s Manhattan Windsor keyring – collector’s item

£95.00

An original Austin Healey  keyring which we would think will have been produced in the early 1970s .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

This is the only complete example of one of these Manhattan Windsor Austin Healey keyrings which we have ever listed and this one is in exceptionally good condition .

Over the years we have listed maybe 2 or 3 of the badges which appear on these keyrings which will have come to us loose and no longer attached to their original keyfobs .

These have been remounted and listed and sold .

However this keyring in this listing is completely original with the badge still mounted onto the original leather keyfob .

For some reason not many Austin Healey keyrings seem to have been produced at the time compared to the amount produced for MGs for instance .

The main keyring producer in the 1960s ( Melsom Products Ltd ) didn’t make many and it was only in the early 1970s that Manhattan Windsor finally got round to making the few that they did make like this one .

The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine full grain black leather and was produced by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham who are sadly no longer in business but made what have become to be recognised as the finest car keyrings ever produced .

The vitreous enamel badge appears perfect at first sight when viewed at lifesize with the naked eye but the enlarged high resolution photos reveal some tiny enamel chips which are almost inevitable on a vitreous enamel badge of this age which has been used – hardly of any importance .

The leather keyfob is in excellent condition and has become supple with use .

‘ TOP GRAIN LEATHER ‘ gold embossed onto the reverse of the keyfob and the reverse of the badge is marked ‘ MANHATTAN WINDSOR ‘ .

This keyring will be original & correct for use with 1964 -1968 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III and also later Sprites – but there is no reason why it could not be used with earlier 3000s & Sprites .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive .
