Austin Mini -original new old stock vintage 1960s vinyl keyring

How did a keyring like this survive all these years in this mint condition ??

This must be one of the very few surviving examples of what was actually used in the cars at the time.

An original vintage new old stock Austin Mini keyring with a lovely vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a brown vinyl keyfob.

The vinyl is still as fresh & supple as the day it was made – vinyl was often used for keyfobs in the early 1960s. It was seen as an exciting new material and much more interesting than boring old leather !

How many Austin Minis from the 1960s will be driven with a completely original keyring from the time like this one ?

Not many !
