This original 60 year old Austin keyring is in good condition with a vitreous enamel badge that is so bright & vibrant that it could have been made only yesterday.
The badge is mounted onto a genuine tan pigskin keyfob which has a lovely patinated polish which can only come from many years of use.
There is some wear to the pigskin leather where the splitring passes through the keyfob ( this can be seen in the photos ) but this is unlikely to cause a problem with the occasional use which this keyring is likely to receive in the future.
Pigskin was ( and is !) a luxurious material which was sometimes used for keyrings in the days when quality mattered and was actually appreciated.
Aston Martin & Jaguar routinely used pigskin for their keyfobs – pigskin was prized for it’s appearance and also for it’s durability .
Made by Sculthorp & Co. of London who were very well known makers of keyrings at the time.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
