Original Bugatti Owner’s Club torpedo keyrings which will have been produced in the 1960s .

We have just two examples of this very rare 50 year old Bugatti torpedo keyring made by CUD to offer – when both have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

These are the only examples of these keyrings which we have ever seen and listed over the last 10 years.

These keyrings are new old stock – so are in mint condition – and will have been in store for the last 50 years.

Made by Castles Unit Developments Ltd of Castle Gate, Leicester – their CUD name was changed to Craftsman in the late 1960s – and an American connection has been rumoured but never substantiated.

The fact that the back of the badges on these keyrings is marked ‘Craftsman’ indicates that these particular keyrings were produced in the late 1960s.

CUD were the only manufacturers of torpedo keyrings and were famous in the late 1950s and right through the late 1960s for the quality of their products which were exported worldwide.

At that time keyrings for the world’s motor cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.

The vitreous enamel badges are mounted onto torpedo keyfobs in genuine hide embossed ‘REAL MOROCCO – Made in England’.

Morocco leather was a term for goatskin – and the pebbly grain of the leather shows that these torpedo keyfobs are in genuine goatskin.

When both keyrings have been sold this listing will cancel.
