NOW SOLD – Sorry this keychain has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
Buick keyrings and keychains are unlikely to come any older than this one !
Keyrings and keychains for cars only came into general use in the mid to late 1950s which is when this keychain will date from.
It is in very good condition with a vitreous enamel badge attached to the clasp via an elongated chain.
A couple of the tiniest of chips in the enamel are visible in the high resolution magnified photos in the listing but can hardly be seen at life size.
The badge measures 1.10″ ( 30mm) in width and the keychain from top to toe measures almost 3″ (75mm)
The clasp is very strongly made and needs a pair of long nose pliers to spring it open to accept the keys – no bad thing because it ensures the keys are most unlikely to become detached from the keychain in use.
The clasp is engraved ‘Made in Italy’ – most unusual as the only keychains usually made in Italy at that time were for Ferrari & Alfa Romeo.
Quite a rarity and certainly original & correct for use with any early Buick motor car of the period.
The keychain in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/93 10/19
