Classic Range Rover – original vintage 1970s renamel keyring – collector’s item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original classic Range Rover keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

An original Range Rover  keyring which will have been made by Renamel Ltd of Kilburn High Road, London ( they then moved to Honeypot Lane , London )

Produced as a ‘budget’  keyring and may look rather ‘ cheap ‘ for use with a Range Rover – but the original 1970s Range Rovers were not the luxurious vehicles that we associate the model with nowadays !

The original Range Rovers were just a step up from the working Series II & III Land Rovers and had interiors which were designed to be hosed clean with water – the very last thing that you would do to a modern Range Rover !

This keyring is probably the earliest Range Rover keyring which was ever produced for use with these vehicles and is only the 2nd example which we have ever listed .

It is in excellent condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black leather .

The badge is retained onto the keyfob by means of a leather strap simply looped through the double slot at the top of the badge – very simple but actually very effective and can be seen in the listing photos .

Renamel were the first to make keyrings with these acrylic badges which have lasted very well over the years and do have the advantage over the more traditional vitreous enamel badges in that they do not chip if dropped onto a hard concrete floor !

Renamel’s earliest keyrings had ‘ made in england ‘ on the reverse of the badge – as this one has .

Later on the reverse of their badges was left plain.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive and is original & correct for use with early classic Range Rover . SMOSO  00/57   09/22
