Just this one original vitreous enamel Cobra keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1960s.
The badge is in superb condition apart from a tiny speck of bright nickel plating missing from the right hand mounting leg as can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .
This is hardly noticeable when viewed at life size.
The badge was made by the well known Melsom Products Ltd badgemaking and keyring manufacturing concern from Birmingham.
This badge came to us from a closed leatherworks in The Midlands which used to mount Melsom’s badges onto leather keyfobs for them and we can only assume that this badges was never mounted onto a leather keyfob at the time .
We have remounted the badge onto a new keyfob in genuine black pigskin leather as can be seen in the photos.
Pigskin leather was used at the time for keyfobs by prestigious manufacturers such as Jaguar & Aston Martin and was prized for it’s appearance & durability – ideal for keyfobs which do receive a lot of handling .
The pigskin leather which we use is vintage material itself – it was sourced from a factory also in The Midlands which used to make hip flasks & wallets many years ago and has been closed for many years.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
