Cobra – original 1960s melsom white background badge inlaid into a new leather keyfob

3 in stock

Original vitreous enamel badges which will have been produced in the 1960s inlaid into new leather keyfobs .

Just 4 keyrings left with these badges – when these have been sold this listing will be cancelled.

We have just a few of these original vitreous enamel white background badges to offer mounted inlaid into our slimline teardrop keyfobs in full grain black hide as shown in the photos.

These vitreous enamel badges were made by Melsom Products of Birmingham UK  in the 1960s. Some badges which they made would have had a metal loop on the top of the badge to allow the badge to be mounted onto a keyfob by means of a leather hinge.

Others ( like these) were manufactured just the same but without the metal loop and would have been intended for  inlaying into the top of a gear lever knob.

We have adapted these badges to inlay into our keyfobs by means of bonding an oversized brass plate to the base of each badge and then laminating the baseplate within the keyfob.

No chance of the badge ever falling out of the keyfob !

The badge is then inlaid into one of our slimline teardrop hand stitched keyfobs which results in a keyring of rather smaller dimensions than our regular teardrops – which many customers prefer.

The badge is original & correct for any Cobra.

Also available with a similar black background badge – please see this listed in the Cobra section in this website online shop.
