Home / Online Shop / Cooper – original vintage 1960s Alexander keyring – new leather keyfob ?
NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
A keyring with an early 1960s Cooper enamel badge .
The keyring is in very good condition with a nickel plated badge with red vitreous enamelling .
Made by Alexander badgemakers whose details are cast onto the back of the badge.
Alexanders were a well known concern in the 1960s making keyrings for a large variety of vehicles.
The enamel badge is in good condition apart from a small area at 3 0’clock on the face of the badge which appears to have been re-touched in the past.
This is hardly noticeable when viewed at life size but can be seen in the high resolution enlarged photos.
The badge is mounted onto a correct period genuine leather keyfob – but this appears to be in almost new condition whilst the badge has obviously had some use !
The keyring is in the condition which it came to us in – so we cannot offer any explanation for the above but can only assume that a previous owner has had the badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob at some stage. The splitring is a period item of a bevel design which hasn’t been available for many years – so the original splitring has obviously been re-fitted.
Our price does takes this and the re-touched enamel into account.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/92 12/19
