NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
We have just this one example to offer of this original vintage Cooper keyring which dates from the 1960s.
Probably new old stock – as it is in virtually mint condition- a very slight scuff on the leather strap retaining the badge to the keyfob which can be seen in the photos.
Made at the time by Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham .
At that time almost all keyrings for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.
The nickel plated badge has vitreous enamel detail and is mounted onto a genuine red leather keyfob.
Unusually the badge does not have Melsom’s details on the back – but none of these World Championship badges were ever marked.
However we know it was made by Melsoms as their ‘keyflix’ trademark is very lightly embossed into the leather beneath the badge.
A top quality British made product made at a time when manufacturing standards were beginning to decline rapidly.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/44 04/20
