NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
We have just this one original Cooper keyring to offer .
This is an original keyring which will have been made in Birmingham at the time – before automotive keyrings were made in The Far East.
In the 1970s & 1980s most keyrings for the world’s cars were made in Birmingham – it was quite an industry.
Dating from the 1970s this keyring is in excellent condition .
The badge is in nickel plate with vitreous enamel detail .
Had the badge been made later in The Far East then the enamelling would have been in modern resin ( plastic ) based enamel.
The badge is mounted onto a black keyfob which has the genuine leather symbol plainly gold-embossed …………………..but the keyfob is not genuine leather.
It is in good quality textured faux leather. Trades descriptions legislation in the 1970s did not pick up on this and we commonly see similarly marked 1970s & 1980s keyrings.
Having said that these faux leather keyfobs often actually lasted better than the ones made from the genuine leather being used at the time for keyring production.
This keyring is an example of what was actually being used in many Coopers in the 1970s.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/93 03/20
