Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Cooper S – original vintage early 1970s acrylic badge keyring

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Cooper S keyring which will have been produced in the early 1970s.

Just this one example to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This keyring is in very good condition with an acrylic dome badge mounted onto a keyfob in black faux leather .

Very few keyrings were originally produced specifically for Mini Cooper S – this is the first one which we have listed for several years .

This keyring will have been produced in the early 1970s when there were still plenty of 1967 -1971 Mk II & Mk III 1275cc Cooper S cars in daily use on the roads together with pre-1969 998cc cars .

Renamel Ltd of London were the first keyring manufacturers to produce these acrylic dome badged keyrings .

Others soon followed ( we do not think that this keyring was made by Renamel ) and these acrylic badges have lasted very well over the years – far better in many cases than the traditional vitreous enamel badges .

Acrylic badges have the big advantage that if they are dropped onto a hard surface ( like concrete or a tarmac road ) the badge survives unscathed whereas a vitreous enamel badge will often be chipped .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO  00/59    10/22
