An original 1970s black acrylic Daihatsu keyfob badge which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.
This is one of just two original 1970s Daihatsu keyfob badges which we have ever listed over the last 10 years- the other one is listed here in the website shop unless now sold.
The badge is in good condition for it’s age and is in acrylic resin rather than the more commonplace vitreous enamel.
The badge will have been made by Renamel Ltd. of Kilburn High Road London and was part of quite a range of badges which they produced for car keyrings at the time.
We do remember driving through Towcester in Northamptonshire in the late 1970s in an airportable Land Rover and spotting a Daihatsu dealer with those wonderful Daihatsu 4×4’s .
Stopped to have a look and the salesman offered us a test drive on a local test course to compare the abilities of the Daihatsu with our Land Rover !
Not wanting to disappoint him we did just that and were most impressed.
Couldn’t afford one but a friend who had a Chemist’s shop in Scunthorpe could and ran one for quite a few years.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
