NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An extremely rare original vintage DKW keyring which dates from the late 1950s – this will be one of the very earliest DKW keyrings ever made.
The keyring is in excellent condition for it’s age with the vitreous enamel on gilt badge mounted onto a most unusual denim blue genuine leather keyfob.
The keyfob has contrasting beige stitching – a very stylish item for the time.
The badge is mounted onto the keyfob by means of a thin leather hinge which is riveted onto the keyfob – evidence of this extends to the back of the keyfob where there is a slot through which the riveting took place.
At that time almost all automotive keyrings were made in England – it was quite an industry – and this one was made by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham – their M over W logo with MP ( Manhattan Products ) is cast into the back of the badge. This will be one of the first keyrings which Manhattan Windsor ever made.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/93 06/20
