Ferrari – original 1990s/ early 2000s ? keyring

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

We are not licensed by Ferrari or any of their representatives to reproduce any of the registered Ferrari logos and badge designs.

The keyring in this listing is an original Ferrari keyring which will have been produced in Italy we would think within the last 20 or 30 years .

We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

We would think that this keyring is a genuine FERRARI item – FERRARI have always had their own superb keyrings produced in Italy .

This keyring has an enamel badge inlaid into a keyfob in genuine red leather .

‘ MADE IN ITALY ‘ is embossed into the reverse of the leather keyfob .

The enamel badge is in excellent condition apart from having a slight surface scratch which is hardly noticeable when viewed at lifesize but can be seen in the enlarged high resolution photos .

The leather keyfob has become polished with use and is  just as we like to see a leather keyfob – with a genuine patina of use acquired over many miles and many years of use .

This keyring has been used as intended and will have covered many thousands of miles in a Ferrari motor car – just imagine the scene ………….if only keyrings could talk !

A leather band binds the top of the keyring with natural coloured stitching forming a feature on the back .

The edge of the leather keyring is burnished properly as Ferrari used to have the leather edges on it’s keyrings burnished and polished ( the modern trend is to leave the edges square cut and un-finished )

In most cases Ferrari bonded their leather keyfobs rather than stitching them – as is the case here .

This keyring has been used as intended and will have covered many thousands of miles in a Ferrari motor car – just imagine the scene ………….if only keyrings could talk !

The prominent part of the badge is Ferrari’s prancing horse .

This was originally a symbol of Count Francesco Baracca who was a legendary Italian air force ace during World War I – he painted a black prancing horse on the side of each plane which he flew .

After over 30 victorious airborne duels he was sadly shot down and killed on June 19th 1918 – just a few months before the war ended .

In 1923 Enzo Ferrari met Count Enrico Baracca and Countess Paolina Baracca in person after winning a race at the Savio circuit in Ravenna.

The Countess suggested Enzo should brand his vehicles with the prancing horse for good luck and Enzo took up her suggestion .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO  00/542    11/24
