Foden - original vintage 1960s tan pigskin keyring - collector's item

An original Foden keyring which will have been produced in the 1960s.

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

The most exquisite keyring – and made for use in a commercial truck !!

This keyring shows just how much owners & drivers of these HGV’s cherished their vehicles all those years ago – and many still do .

This keyring is in new condition apart from an unimportant mark on the pigskin on the back of the keyfob- probably new old stock and will never have been used.

The badge is in jewellery grade vitreous enamel and is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine tan pigskin.

We are more used to seeing pigskin used for keyrings for prestige cars such as Aston Martin & Jaguar !

Pigskin was ( and is ) a most prestigious luxury material prized for it’s appearance and longevity – ideal but expensive for making keyfobs from.

A superb item – and only the 2nd example like this one which we have seen over the last 10 years.

Foden Trucks was a British truck & bus manufacturing Company based in Sandbach, Cheshire, England .

They specialised in producing highly customisable trucks in any paint and any available drivetrain configuration.

Foden sadly ceased operations in July 2006.
