NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
We are not licensed by Ford Motor Company to reproduce any of their logos and none of the keyrings listed here for sale in this website shop feature Ford keyfob badges which have been made by us.
The keyring in this listing is an original vintage keyring dating from the 1960s.
Probably a commemorative keyring – because The Model T didn’t have a key to put a keyring onto and was in production far earlier than when keyrings came into general use – and we have just this one to offer which is the only one which we have ever seen of this type in the last 10 years.
Could be used with any Ford motor car however !
New old stock – so in excellent condition and has been in dry storage for around 50 years since the 1960s.
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto an excellent quality keyfob in high grade full grain leather with gold embossing.
Made by a manufacturing business whose trademark was ‘Trend’ as can be seen embossed onto the back of the keyfob- we do see examples of their keyrings for other makes of car from time to time.
Despite comprehensive research we have never discovered who they actually were ! Small enamelling businesses came & went rather rapidly in the 1960s & 1970s – many were based in the Birmingham area which had a tradition of vitreous enamelling.
There may have been a tie-up with a badgemaker known as ‘Alexander’ – occasionally a badge marked ‘Alexander’ crops up mounted onto a ‘Trend’ leather keyfob.
A top quality British made item produced at a time when many items like this were becoming mass produced & very poorly finished.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will cancel. 59/52 05/20
