Ford Mustang - original late 1960s vintage new old stock vitreous enamel badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

What superb keyrings these are !

We have just a few of these original new old stock Ford Mustang keyfob badges left which date from the late 1960s which we are offering remounted onto new leather keyfobs as can be seen in the listing photos.

We know from experience that Ford Mustang owners tend to want specific leather colours for their keyrings – so even though we do not have many of these badges in stock we have decided to offer a choice of keyfob shapes and leather colours .

The badges are available mounted onto our teardrop, slimline teardrop and classic rectangular keyfob shapes ( all shown in the listing photos ) and in all of the leather colours.

The vitreous enamel badges are new old stock so are in very good condition although the detail on the badges does vary – these badges were made in the days when the vitreous enamel was still being individually hand laid which led to slight differences in depth of enamel and enamel colour .

Close inspection of the enlarged high resolution listing photo of the group of keyrings reveals slightly different enamelling around the Mustang in the centre of the badge – all part of the charm of these original vintage badges.

The badges came to us from the closed leather works of Heath Machin in Walsall, England.

At that time almost all keyrings and keyfob badges for the world’s cars were made in England – it was quite an industry.

Heath Machin produced their own badges ( these are some of those ) for their own keyrings and also mounted badges onto leather keyfobs for other manufacturers – most notably Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham.

Heath Machin changed hands in the early 1970s and continued making small leather goods up until the 1990s.

These are  superb keyrings with a badge which is original & correct for use with the original 1964-1968 Ford Mustang or the facelifted 1969 -1973 Ford Mustang- or could be used as a ‘retro’ keyring in a much later car.

We have become very well known over the years for remounting original badges like these onto new leather keyfobs and when all the badges which we have are mounted and sold then this listing will be cancelled.
