The keyring in this listing is an original item which dates from the late 1960s.
An original 50 year old Ford Mustang keyring dating from the late 1960s in almost mint condition !
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a genuine black leather keyfob with contrasting light stitching.
The badge mounted onto the keyfob is one of the mysterious ‘spider’s web’ badges and this keyring will have been made in Birmingham at the time.
These ‘spider’s web’ vitreous enamel badges were made in Birmingham in the 1960s by an unknown badgemaker who used a spider’s web design on the back of his badges – complete with the spider in the centre of the web !
We have seen similar badges for other makes of car but the identity of the badgemaker ( there were many of them in the Birmingham area in the 1960s) may never be known.
Birmingham was the centre of production of automotive keyrings and badges in the 1960s with keyrings and badges being exported all over the world – it was quite an industry.
This keyring is original & correct for 1962 onwards Ford Mustang.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 59/94 05/20
