Ford – original 1960s vitreous enamel on gilt badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

The keyring in this listing has an original Ford keyfob badge which will have been produced over 50 years ago which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

This gilt plated vitreous enamel Ford keyfob badge is in excellent condition for it’s age .

The blue oval Ford badge was an early design which carried over through the 1950s and then into the early 1960s .

These keyfob badges were usually produced in the 1950s but we would think that this one will have been produced in the 1960s and is a most attractive badge .

The badge has a deep mark in the enamel which can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos – this will have been there since the badge was produced and will have been caused by the badge coming into contact with something whilst fresh out of the kiln with the vitreous enamel still being in a molten state .

In the 1960s the vitreous enamel was still generally hand applied and the person in charge was obviously a bit clumsy lifting this badge out of the kiln ………………

The mark has been there for over 50 years and the badge will certainly last for another 50 years !
