We are not licensed by Ford Motor Company to reproduce any of their logos and none of the keyrings listed here for sale in this website shop feature Ford keyfob badges which have been made by us.
The keyrings in this listing are original items dating from the 1950s.
***** Just 2 of these keyrings left
We are fortunate to be able to offer these brand new original old stock Ford torpedo keyrings which date from the late 1950s.
The badge is an acrylic insert which is bonded into the plated metal mount with an adhesive – this is a very early example of this method of badgemaking which is completely different from the traditional vitreous enamel badges which most keyrings in this website shop have.
An acrylic badge made like this is not of the same quality as the vitreous enamel badges which we use for keyfobs of our own manufacture- but this is how these keyrings were made at the time- they are historic items.
Each badge has ‘CUD MADE IN ENGLAND’ cast on the back. This tells us that the keyrings were made by Castles Unit Development Co. of Leicester- who were the premier manufacturers of early keyrings at that time.
The keyfob itself is made of faux leather with internal stiffening.
The keyfobs are in brand new condition – after 60 years !
These are examples of the keyrings which were actually being used with Ford motor cars in the late 195os and early 1960s.
When they have all been sold – then this listing will be cancelled.
