Please note that this badge is in bright nickel plating without any enamel !

Original Honda keyrings and keyfob badges by SCHALL are very scarce items which are much sought after – we cannot remember ever listing another .

SCHALL ( SC HALL ) were a small English badgemaking concern in the 1960s procucing car and motorcycle keyrings .

Generally they didn’t enamel their badges with traditional vitreous enamel like most other manufacturers at the time – they used coach enamel which was hand applied.

In many cases over the years much of the coach enamel ( or all of it as in this case ! ) disappeared leaving a perfectly serviceable bright nickel plated badge like this Honda one .

It actually looks as though it was always intended to simply be a nickel plated badge and we doubt if many people looking at it would guess that it was originally enamelled .

When there are just a few flakes of enamel missing from a SCHALL badge these can be touched up by hand with enamel paint like Humbrol model enamel ( although we would always leave this to the customer )

In this case the badge could be re-enamelled by hand – but once again we would leave this to you .

Apart from the loss of enamel the badge is in excellent condition .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive – with a very rare badge in perfectly serviceable condition now remounted and available at a very much lesser price than if the enamel was intact !
