Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Honda motorcycle – original 1970s vitreous enamel on gilt badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Honda keyfob badge which will have been produced in the 1970s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos.

Just this one keyring to offer with this badge – when this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

The badge is in good condition but does have a scuff in the black enamel at the top of the badge – this can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos .

Badges on motorcycle keyrings used outside in all weathers often had a hard life – and not all badges that we come across are perfect !

This vitreous enamel on gilt badge is in excellent condition apart from the scuff already mentioned and is marked ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ on the back – in the 1970s almost all keyrings for the world’s cars & motorcycles were made in England – it was quite an industry.

The gilt plating will have been very bright when the badge was first made over 40 years ago – this has now mellowed to a soft golden finish which gives an impression of age .

The vitreous enamel still has the bright gloss which it would have had when first made suggesting that the badge has not seen much use ( apart from being scuffed )

This badge is original & correct for use with any 1970s or 1980s Honda motorcycle.

This badge design has been reproduced by others – but recent reproductions will likely be produced in modern resin based enamel rather than vitreous enamel like this badge .

Additionally they are unlikely to have been made in England anymore and will most probably not have ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ on the reverse of the badge.

Neither are they likely to be in gilt plating like this badge .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO   59/94    12/22
