NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
We do not hold a licence which allows us to reproduce the Honda logo and none of the Honda keyrings listed here in this website shop feature badges with the Honda logo which have been made by us.
The keyring in this listing is an original vintage item which is around 50 years old.
Goodness knows how a little keyring from almost 50 years ago has survived all these years in this mint condition……………. but this one has done.
It is actually the 2nd similar example which has appeared – the first one was sold some time back.
An original vintage Honda keyring dating from the late 1960s and looking as though it has just popped out of whatever machine it was made on – you would almost expect it to be still warm !
The vitreous enamel badge has the lustre of a gemstone and the faux leather keyfob is shiny like a squeaky -new pair of patent leather court shoes. Those who regularly read our listing descriptions know that we do not usually describe keyrings like this !
The only criticism that we can level against it is that there is a very small surface scratch on the surface of the black vitreous enamel at 3 o’clock on the face of the badge- you might not have noticed anyway and it can hardly be seen in the high resolution enlarged listing photos.
The badge has ‘British Made’ cast into the back of the badge – not often that you read that nowadays !
This keyring will have been made in Birmingham at the time – almost all keyrings for the world’s cars & bikes were made there in the 1960s. It was quite an industry.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive- it is original & correct for any 1960s or early 1970s Honda motorcycle although it would be a shame to subject it to actually being used for what it was intended for !
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled . 59/55
