An original new old stock 21st Century HWM Aston Martin dealership keyring .

This original HWM keyring is similar to the Manhattan Windsor keyrings which were produced for HWM until Manhattan Windsor sadly closed it’s doors in the early 2000s.

This keyring will have been made for HWM by a different manufacturer after the closure of Manhattan Windsor.

The keyring is new old stock – so is in mint condition with a vitreous enamel badge mounted onto a keyfob which is in genuine black hide.

HWM Aston Martin’s details are silver embossed onto the back of the leather keyfob which is made of slightly thinner leather than the very generous thickness of leather which Manhattan Windsor used .

HWM ( Hersham & Walton Motors ) of Walton on Thames are a prestigious Aston Martin dealership which can trace it’s roots back to the late 1940s when it began building Jaguar racing cars.

In 1953 the Company began producing cars with modified Jaguar XK engines – some of these raced in Formula 2.

HWM also produced a Jaguar powered car for Formula 1.

Sadly one of the 2 partners – John Heath – died in 1956 in an HWM Jaguar as a result of an accident  during the Mille Miglia road race.

The other partner – George Abecassis gave up with the racing and concentrated on his expanding garage business which remains on the same site to this day.
