We are not licensed by Jaguar Land Rover Ltd to reproduce any of the recent Jaguar logos and none of the keyrings listed here for sale in this website shop feature any of those logos. The keyring in this listing features an historic Jaguar keyfob badge logo from around 50 years ago and this keyring is intended to be used with classic Jaguar motor cars.
This badge is an exact reproduction of the very first keyring badge which was produced for use with the early E-type Jaguar until 1964.
Also date correct for Jaguar saloons of that period.
A lot of work has gone into producing this vitreous enamel badge which has been based on the two original examples in our reference collection .The diameter of the badge is 25 mm – which is rather smaller than our standard badge diameter which is approaching 28 mm.
Original examples of this keyring are now in much demand and can command very high prices.
In order that our reproduction of this keyring is not confused with originals – we have chosen not to reproduce the original maker’s name (CUD) on the back of our enamel badges.
Furthermore – all of these reproduction early E-type leather fobs will be plainly stamped on the back with our logo.
It is not our intention that these reproductions can be passed off as originals.
Finally – please do not confuse this vitreous enamel badge with cheap resin copies which are now cropping up on ebay !
These are often listed as being ‘new old stock’ !!
This listing is for the badge mounted onto a torpedo leather keyfob – which is how CUD offered them for sale at the time. Any of the leather colours can be specified but CUD originals were only available in black leather.
