We are not licensed by Jaguar Land Rover Ltd to reproduce any of the recent Jaguar logos and none of the keyrings listed here for sale in this website shop feature any of those logos. The keyring in this listing features an historic Jaguar keyfob badge logo from around 50 years ago and this keyring is intended to be used with classic Jaguar motor cars.
This cream & black vitreous enamel badge is an exact reproduction of the badges mounted on a couple of original Jaguar keyrings which are held in our reference collection .
This badge was originally issued in the late 1950’s and is date correct for the later XK Jaguars, Mark VII-X saloons, and also Mark I-II saloons.
The diameter of the badge is 25mm which is rather smaller than our standard badge diameter of approaching 28mm.
This listing allows you to order the badge mounted onto a torpedo shaped leather keyfob in all of the leather colours. The original badges were made by CUD ( Castles Unit Developments of Castle Gate, Leicester ) who mounted their badges onto the torpedo shape ( which was their trade mark keyfob shape ) Leather colour at the time would invariably have been black.
Original examples of this keyring very rarely come to market. When they do they are in much demand and can command very high prices.
In order that our reproduction is not confused with originals – we have chosen not to reproduce the original maker’s name on the back of the enamel badge of this keyfob.
Furthermore – all of our Late 1950’s – early 1960’s ‘Growler’ leather torpedo fobs will be plainly stamped on the back with our logo.
It is not our intention that these reproductions can be passed off as originals.
