Original Vintage & Restored Leather Keyrings for Classic Cars & Motorcycles

Jaguar Driver's Club - original vintage 1970s ? keyring - collector's item

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original vintage Jaguar Driver’s Club keyring which will probably have been produced in the 1970s.

When this keyring has been sold this listing will be cancelled.

These original 40 year old JDC keyrings are scarce items because they did actually get used in the cars and were eventually discarded when they became worn or were simply lost .

This one is a rare survivor from the time.

This keyring is in very good used condition – the growler’s head steering wheel badge would have originally been gilt plated but gilt plating often just involves  a ‘whiff’ of plating which soon wears away as has happened in this case.

There is just a hint of gilt plating remaining – which gives a rather attractive ‘aged’ patination to the badge.

The genuine black leather keyfob is in good serviceable condition and has the wrinkling associated with a leather keyring which has been used – once again rather attractive .

We have listed only 2 or 3 examples of these keyrings over the last 10 years.

These keyrings were originally made to high standards and are streets ahead of most regular car club keyrings produced today.

A Jaguar Driver’s Club keyring is described and photographed in Bud Marston’s Vintage Jaguar keyings book which is featured at the beginning of our Jaguar section here in this website shop.

The Jaguar Driver’s Club of Great Britain was formed in 1956 – we would date this particular keyring as having been produced in the 1970s.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive. SMOSO   00/571     05/22
