Individually Handmade Keyrings For Classic Vehicles Made Here In England & Shipped Worldwide

Jaguar E-Type - original 1960s vitreous enamel keyfob badge by Alexander remounted onto new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

We are not licensed by Jaguar Land Rover Ltd to reproduce any of the recent Jaguar logos and none of the keyrings listed here for sale in this website shop feature any of those logos.

The keyring in this listing features an historic original vintage Jaguar keyfob badge which was  manufactured around 50 years ago and this keyring with this badge mounted onto it is intended to be used with classic Jaguar motor cars.

A rare 50 years old vitreous enamel badge which is in superb condition apart from some rubbing of the nickel plating which can be seen in the high resolution enlarged photos in the listing but is hardly noticeable when viewed at life size with the naked eye.

This chequerboard badge is correct for 1964 onwards E-type Jaguar and is the badge which our reproduction badge is based on.

The badge was made by Alexander badgemakers whose name appears on the back of the badge.

Also on the edge of the back of the badge is a slight overspill of black vitreous enamel which will have been there since the badge was fired in the furnace – we always leave these ‘added extras’ in place as they are doing no harm and add to the provenance of the badge.

We are offering the badge remounted onto one of our slimline teardrop keyfobs in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos.

Remounting original vintage 20th Century badges onto new leather keyfobs of the correct pattern so that they can continue to be used well into the 21st Century is something which we are very well known for .

An example of this badge is shown & described in Bud Marston’s ‘Vintage Jaguar keyrings’ book featured at the beginning of our Jaguar section in this website shop- it could well be this very badge as we did lend Bud an example when he was writing his book and have been credited for that in the book !

Bud states that E-type keyrings and badges with the chequerboard motif are quite rare and continues to state that E-type badges by Alexander are also rare.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 00/522          01/20
