Home / Online Shop / Jaguar E-type – original 1970s keyring
NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original Jaguar E-type keyring which will have been produced in the 1970s .
We have just this one example of this keyring to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.
This keyring is in excellent condition and could be new old stock .
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a keyfob in very glossy and stiff imitation leather .
Original keyrings for Jaguar E-type are scarce and generally very valuable items – particularly in this condition .
However this keyring is not of the same quality as the torpedo keyrings produced by CUD in the 1960s ……a close inspection of the keyring badge will reveal an overspill of white enamel in the growler’s left ear ( the ear on the right hand side as you view the badge )
The quality of CUD’s vitreous enamel badges was better and the keyfobs were usually in genuine leather .
The CUD keyrings were produced between the time of the 3.8 E-type and the later S1 & S2s.
By the time the E-type S3 appeared CUD had closed and their keyrings were no longer available .
This keyring is in this listing is an original Jaguar E-type keyring from the 1970s and is a rare example of the ‘everyday’ keyrings which many of the cars were used with at the time .
Most of these keyrings will have been lost or simply discarded when the imitation leather became worn with use .
No maker’s name on the back of the badge – but almost certainly made in Birmingham and we do see similar keyrings for other makes of car with this distinctive glossy imitation leather keyfob in rectangular shape .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO 00/571 08/23
