Jaguar – original 1960s Coombs of Guildford badge by Caxton of Kew remounted onto a new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Coombs of Guildford keyfob badge which will have been issued in the 1960s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob as can be seen in the photos .

We have just this one keyring with this badge to offer – when it has been sold this listing will be cancelled .

It is some years since we last listed a keyring with one of these badges – almost all of the badges which we have seen in recent years have been damaged .

This vitreous enamel badge is in excellent condition apart from the tiniest enamel chip in the bottom left hand corner of the translucent green enamel at the base of the badge .

This can be seen in the enlarged high resolution listing photos but is hardly noticeable when viewed at life size .

The vitreous enamel badge in translucent red & green enamel was made by the very well known badgemaker – Caxton of Kew .

The Coombs of Guildford Jaguar dealership is remembered so well by Jaguar enthusiasts that it hardly needs description here .

Coombs were known not only for their highly successful dealership selling Jaguar & Daimler cars but also for the modifications which they carried out to Jaguar MkI & MkII saloons .

John Coombs was also a successful racing driver and encouraged Jaguar chairman Sir William Lyons to further develop the E-type for racing .

Bud Marston shows examples of original Coombs dealership keyrings in his ‘ Vintage Jaguar Keyrings’ book featured here in the Jaguar section of our website shop .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO   00/561    08/23
