NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
An original vintage Jaguar keyring which will have been made in the late 1960s.
The keyring is new old stock – so is in mint condition.
The vitreous enamel badge is mounted onto a black faux leather keyfob which is stamped ‘Keyflix’ beneath the badge.
‘Keyflix’ was the trademark of Melsom Products Ltd of Birmingham who will have made this keyring.
The badge is not as precisely executed as the vitreous enamel badges which we have made nowadays – this is how many badges were made at the time although CUD’s torpedo keyrings generally had superb badges. This is reflected by the prices which good examples of those keyrings now command – very much higher than the price which this keyring is listed at.
This keyring will have been intended as an ‘everyday’ keyring for use with any Jaguar motor car of the period and is an important survivor as most of these keyrings will by now have been lost, worn out or discarded.
Keyrings like this one are shown & described in Bud Marston’s book on Vintage Jaguar Keyrings which is featured at the beginning of the Jaguar section in our website shop.
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 00/541 02/20
