Jaguar - original late 1970s/early 1980s gilt leaper badge remounted onto a new leather keyfob

NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered

An original Jaguar green leaper badge dating from the late 1970s or early 1980s which we have remounted onto a new leather keyfob in full grain black leather as can be seen in the photos.

The badge was made by Manhattan Windsor of Birmingham – their details are cast into the back of the badge.

The vitreous enamel on gilt badge is in good condition with no enamel chips and the gilt plating will stay bright whilst in use- or can be polished with a quick wipe of any metal polish to restore the brightness if allowed to tarnish when not in use.

The surface of the enamel shows very slight traces of having been ground in the past – possibly when the badge was made and then not polished out completely.

We do occasionally see these slight traces on vitreous enamel badges.

There is a small black speck in the translucent green vitreous enamel – nothing unusual !

An example of this badge is shown & described in Bud Marston’s ‘Vintage Jaguar Keyrings’ book which is featured at the beginning of our Jaguar section in this website shop.

This badge is correct for use with any Jaguar motor car of the period.

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.

When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled.  59/94    ( 69/93 )    04/20
