Vintage Automobila keyrings come & go and we have seen values rise & fall over the years .

Original Coombs keyrings in excellent condition like this one are so scarce and sought after that the values of these keyrings has never diminished .

We have seen very few in any condition come to market over the years .

This keyring would be of particular value if placed with a car known to have been supplied by Coombs .

It had been some years since we last listed one of these scarce keyrings until this year when we received two 2 examples from the same source .

The first one was listed and sold in May 2024 and we have now listed this second one .

The keyring in this listing is a completely original item with the badge still mounted onto the original leather keyfob and in excellent condition as can be seen from the photos .

This keyring can have received very little use .

The vitreous enamel badge in translucent red & green enamel is mounted onto a keyfob in genuine leather in a very dark tan colour with contrasting natural coloured stitching .

The keyring was made by the very well known London badgemaker – Caxton of Kew .

The Coombs of Guildford Jaguar dealership is remembered so well by Jaguar enthusiasts that it hardly needs description here .

Coombs were known not only for their highly successful dealership selling Jaguar & Daimler cars but also for the modifications which they carried out to Jaguar MkI & MkII saloons .

John Coombs was also a successful racing driver and encouraged Jaguar chairman Sir William Lyons to further develop the E-type for racing .

Bud Marston shows examples of original Coombs dealership keyrings in his ‘ Vintage Jaguar Keyrings’ book featured here in the Jaguar section of our website shop .

The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive . SMOSO  00/593    10/24
