NOW SOLD – Sorry this keyring has now been sold and can no longer be ordered
Possibly one of the rarest original Jaguar keyrings which you are ever likely to come across – this is the only example which we have ever seen over the last 10 years.
Bud Marston does mention these keyrings in his ‘Vintage Jaguar keyrings’ book but the example he shows of this badge is missing the raised relief growler head – just the chequerboard ground remains.
That is how rare a complete example like this one must be !
It seems that Kings International of New York City were making keyrings around 1970 – one of Bud’s other examples ( not like this one ) had been bought new in 1970.
We can only assume that they didn’t remain in business for long otherwise other examples of these keyrings would surface from time to time.
The keyring in this listing is in very good condition – the vitreous enamel chequerboard badge ( complete with raised growler head ) is virtually perfect and is mounted onto a black keyfob gold embossed ‘TOP GRAIN LEATHER’ which is also in excellent condition.
Cast onto the back of the badge is ‘KINGS INT’L N.Y.C. 10011 ‘
The chequerboard badge design was adopted by Jaguar for the E-type in 1964 – so this keyring could have been produced slightly earlier than 1970 and would certainly be appropriate for use with Jaguar E-type .
It has now become almost impossible for us to source original Jaguar keyrings of this calibre to list in our website shop due to the rapidly increasing values of Jaguar keyrings.
Listing this one at this price has only been possible due to us having owned this keyring for several years .
We know that it will not sit here in the website shop for long- and it will be virtually impossible for us to replace it .
The keyring in the photos is the actual one which you will receive.
When it has been sold this listing will be cancelled. 00/575 – but 00/ 005 offer
